EMDR

Yes, EMDR can help.

Yes, you can heal.

What is EMDR ?

EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a structured therapy designed to help individuals process traumatic memories. It involves the client focusing on a trauma memory while experiencing bilateral stimulation, typically through guided eye movements. This approach has been shown to reduce the emotional intensity and vividness of trauma memories.

Research has consistently demonstrated EMDR's effectiveness in treating trauma and PTSD, with ongoing studies highlighting its positive outcomes for various conditions, including anxiety, depression, OCD, chronic pain, addictions, and other challenging life experiences. This makes EMDR a valuable therapeutic option for those dealing with the aftermath of trauma.

EMDR has been shown to be effective for all ages- for children, teens and adults. We use EMDR in both our Loomis and Folsom offices and all our therapists are trained in EMDR.

EMDR and children.

Children respond very well to EMDR and often reprocess difficult memories quickly.

We use our play and art therapy training in additional to EMDR to help heal trauma for our youngest clients.

Schedule a consultation call with one of our therapists to see how we can help you or your child with EMDR therapy. We have offices in both Folsom and Loomis, CA. We can also provide EMDR virtually for all California residents.
