Very strong and firmly fixed; to establish deeply.
“...the work of our heart. The work of taking time to listen, to live our values, to love well, is also our gift to the whole of the world”
Heather Peterson, LMFT & Founder
As a psychotherapist, I believe in the importance of treating the whole person—which includes mind, body, and soul. I’ll help you discover what roots you and your family. We’ll then use that as a guide for healing.
If life has left you feeling emotionally exhausted, worried about your child or family, or simply just overwhelmed with how to care for yourself and you wonder if life should feel somehow better or happier, you’re not alone. Now more than ever, people are needing support with prioritizing and caring for not only their children’s mental health, but their own.
Throughout my career, I have helped people navigate various challenges in life. My areas of expertise include:
Trauma
Attachment
Children + teens (including play, art and sand tray therapy)
Parenting support and guidance
Women's issues
Self-esteem
Identity and purpose searching
General life transitions
Anxiety
Depression
Christian counseling
My work includes supporting children, teens, adults and families. As a wife and mom of two, I understand the need for a place that's just yours as well as the importance of supporting the whole family. When our lives are not reflective of what’s truly important to us, as humans we tend to feel off balance and out of alignment. This shows up as anxiety, depression, among other things.
Much of my therapy with children also includes family therapy as I view parents and families as an integral part of treatment. When working with adults, the work tends to be longer term. I use an attachment and values based lens, to get to the core of what my clients are struggling with in order to create new, healthier patterns.
We’re all grieving something. Finding yourself here likely means that the struggle has become very difficult. I believe you’re here for a reason and our paths have crossed by no happenstance. I can help you start loving your life again by understanding yourself and connecting with your loved ones more fully. I’m so glad you’re here, you’re not alone… there’s hope!
Let’s connect.
